As we mentioned yesterday, the promotional campaign for Iron Man 3 is getting underway, with Robert Downey Junior pitching battle against Sir Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin. Sir Ben, it is fair to say, can play rotten swine rather well.
He’s barely in the trailer, mind. Just one glowering shot of his eyes, beard and…is that a topknot? He looks pretty fed up with his hairdresser, at any rate.
Also, hats off to everyone concerned for remembering to cast a Brit as the baddy, and an Australian Brit (Guy Pearce) as the auxiliary baddy too. That’s how you make a movie, people! Never mind Jeff Bridges or Mickey Rourke! Get a Brit in!
