WATCH: Alec Baldwin on Why James Bond Has Endured for 50 Years

Alec Baldwin has never appeared in a Bond film, although he did star opposite Sean Connery in the 1990 thriller The Hunt for Red October.
He thinks the franchise has lasted for so long because of the British secret agent’s superhero qualities.
At the Hamptons International Film Festival, the actor told me: “James Bond is a live action living flesh and blood superhero – and he happens to be British as well so it makes him all the more interesting, people just crave that kind of capability.”
