Adele Tweets Confirmation She’s Singing ‘Skyfall’ Theme
Adele (Press Association via AP)
There’s been a deluge of Bond bits and bonds this morning (October 1), but here’s something quite nice for music fans: the very preggers Adele has tweeted a picture providing confirmation that she’s singing the theme tune for the upcoming 007 flick Skyfall. She has joined the likes of Dame Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Sir Paul McCartney, Louis Armstrong, Madonna, and, er, Rita Coolidge in that rarefied group of artists who’ve lent their pipes to a Bond theme. (And perhaps, given Adele’s golden girl status, this will be the first 007 theme to hit No. 1 in the U.S. since Duran Duran‘s “A View to a Kill” 27 years ago.) Good on her.
