‘Copper’ Fever: Street Art with a Vintage Twist
Original street art by Raphael Tanghal is located on the northwest corner of Bedford and Grand in NYC. BBC America worked with artist collective Collabros.
If this were the 1860s, that tingly feeling you’ve got might be a sign of a bad case of consumption. But since this is 2012, and we’re only 5 DAYS AWAY from the big premiere, it’s more likely that you’re coming down with COPPER FEVER. Fortunately, it’s much easier to treat. Just make sure to tune in on Sunday, August 19 at 10pm Eastern to catch the first episode of BBC AMERICA’s original program Copper. In the meantime, keep an eye out for some cool artwork lining the streets, buses and subway tunnels of NYC. This art piece was specially commissioned by some really incredible street artists that brought a modern look to 19th century political cartoons.
