WATCH: Tom Hardy on Playing ‘Grumpy’ in ‘Dark Knight Rises’

One of the most menacing attractions in The Dark Knight Rises is British actor Tom Hardy, who plays the villainous Bane — a character who comes very close to overwhelming Batman.

The bulked up Bane epitomizes evil — he wears a mask that obscures much of his face — and he terrorizes Gotham.

Hardy says that he’s “really grumpy, like a big gorilla. He’s intellectually Batman’s equal. He’s physically probably more dangerous than Batman.”
