Fashion travels west: we were in London in Summer 2010 and harem pants were huge. It took a year or so for the MC Hammer-like leggings to make it to the States. Beat your friends to the punch rather than wait for new designs to make their way stateside by checking out BBC America’s Summer of London Top 10 Figures in Fashion. The hazard with trendsetting is that it doesn’t necessarily catch on straight away. You might have to explain, “I may look funny now. But trust me, in a year, I will be too cool” as you rock your quilted jumpsuit.
