Amid all the stories about the Bond franchise taking a turn towards the comic, and the outbreak of mass head-scratching that followed Quantum of Solace, the trailer for Skyfall has arrived. It’s the 23rd Bond movie, so of course some of the ideas are familiar, but that’s OK. So long as we’ve got those impressive bangs and clanks, all will be well:
Speaking of which, I wonder how preposterous the noises in movie trailers will be in 20 years’ time. They’re going to have to go some to make these booms sounds as feeble as the ones in early ’90s movies do now.
