As we teased yesterday, Doctor Who‘s Matt Smith, in full tracksuit glory, carried the Olympic Torch in Cardiff today, completing a leg in the relay from BBC Wales’ Roath Lock Studios (where Who is filmed) to the Sennedd. A massive crowd turned out up at 6:29 am UK time to cheer Smith on. “I love the whole sense of the Olympics,” Matt said. “I mean it’s so early in the morning but there are so many people here with bunting and there’s a great atmosphere and everything’s so celebratory… I’m excited to be part of it!”
