BBC America to Air London Olympics Comedy ‘Twenty Twelve,’ Starring Hugh Bonneville
'Downton Abbey' star Hugh Bonneville in BBC America's 'Twenty Twelve'
Downton Abbey‘s Hugh Bonneville leads an ensemble cast in a very timely comedy set to launch on BBC America this June. Executive-produced by Absolutely Fabulous‘ Jon Plowman and written by People Like Us‘s John Morton, the documentary-style Twenty Twelve follows a fictional team of hilariously inept organizers behind the 2012 London Olympics. The twelve-parter stars Bonneville, Jessica Hynes (Spaced), Olivia Colman (Peep Show), Amelia Bullmore (I’m Alan Partridge), Vincent Franklin (The Thick of It), and Karl Theobald (Green Wing), with narration by none other than David Tennant (who is apparently set to become a fixture on BBC America).
Twenty Twelve premieres Thursday, June 28 at 9/8c.
