Before the new addition to the Doctor Who cast was announced, the show’s lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat appeared at South By Southwest in sweltering Austin, Texas, where he chatted with Anglophenia’s Jon Sarlin about why Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) have been so successful as companions and their future in Season 7.
