Before the new addition to the Doctor Who cast was announced, the show’s lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat appeared at South By Southwest in sweltering Austin, Texas, where he chatted with Anglophenia’s Jon Sarlin about why Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) have been so successful as companions and their future in Season 7. And, quite appropriately at a techie event like SXSW, Moffat also discusses his use of Twitter to directly engage fans. All of that, and much more, in the extended clip below.
