A Hip Hop Lord Grantham MCs a ‘Downton Abbey’ Rap
You know that Downton Abbey has become a pop culture phenomenon when Adam WarRock releases a satirical rap song about it. WarRock, the nom de rapper for Eugene Ahn, an attorney turned podcaster and writer, posted audio the other day for his new Downton Abbey rap to YouTube and on his web site.
His rap is written from the perspective of patriarch Lord Grantham (the character played by Hugh Bonneville), who explains the show’s major plot points and name-checks other primary characters. Sample lyric: “Never had a son, just three young ladies/married overseas so her father could pay me.”
