WATCH: Aliens Invade Britain In ‘The Swarm’
Creative types always say it’s important, when embarking on a new project, to set yourself limitations and then work within them, if you want to succeed. By which logic this project, from a very hot little gang of British TV talent, should be on a par with Gone With The Wind.
What we’ve got here is a ten-minute film called The Swarm. It’s about an alien invasion which has been captured entirely on cameraphones, a little like Cloverfield but with updated technology and multiple points of view. Oh and it really was entirely captured on a cameraphone.
It was written by Geoff Busetil, who has written for Skins, and directed by Tom Harper, who also directed Misfits,This is England, and the recent BBC adaptation of The Borrowers (the one with Christopher Eccleston). And it stars Daniel Kaluuya, from The Fades. Enjoy!
