It’s always a matter of money. They (BBCA) want the rabid fans (us) to buy TG at Itunes, so they keep jonesing us for months. And We watch online, so they are out on the advertising exposure also. Networks and Cable are dead, but don’t know it yet.

    R.B. you are incorrect.

Discovery Communications only provided transmission and cable distribution support and stopped doing that several years ago. BBC America is owned and operated completely as an arm of BBC Worldwide. All profits go back to the BBC.

The India special was the worst one,it wasnt funny and it was far too scripted. But SERIOUSLY? Why does Britain get season 18 in January and we have to wait until April? All I see on BBC America is reruns of episodes from 2004.

A while back BBC-A had an On Demand channel which I could watch all the old and new episodes without the ads.
Man I really miss it as watching it on the regular channel sucks with all the ads in it!
Including that stupid bbc logo in the bottom right corner which I swear gets bigger as each new season starts.
Frankly I do not see how the old boys can keep the show going much longer as they have just about scraped the bottom of the barrel for new ideas.
Wonder if for the last show the boys will make a super car hearse???

I’m not waiting that long. I’ll just watch it elsewhere. Get your act together & air it as it comes out BBCA and I’ll gladly watch your advertising and maybe even be sold on some products. Just like I do w/ Doctor Who episodes.

Hooray! The American version leaves MUCH to be desired and I pretty much have the re-runs in rote memory.

Thank God Top Gear UK is coming back to BBC America,
top gear USA is a cheap bastardized ripoff that I find unwatchable. BBCA is my favorite channel and T.G. U.K. Is the highlight of my week.
Thanks for saving me from mundane American television.

Where was the new episode! I see nothing about season 18 on tv when it is stated that it was to air on the 16th of April.

Honestly, Top Gear is one of many GREAT car shows still on television & I love their numerouse episodes, And the hosts are hilariouse and clever (Especially Jeremy). although this season should have Jeremy,”Captain Slow” & “Hamster” build more things! BEST episodes are when the hosts become creative and build R.v’s or Amphibiouse Vehicles.
L o v e Top Gear & For Somebody that lives in San Diego, CA In America To Enjoy A show thousands of miles away and basiclly watch and episode a day is Crazy ! <3
