2. Screen Actors Guild Awards
Michelle Williams, seen interviewed above at the BAFTA Tea Party by The Brit List’s on-air host Asha Leo, is one of the many stars nominated for this year’s Screen Actors Guild awards, widely viewed as a leading indicator for who will take home Oscars next month. SAG nominated a slew of Brits, including My Week with Marilyn‘s Kenneth Branagh and Albert Nobbs‘s Janet McTeer, who both also scored with the Academy. Tilda Swinton has a Best Actress SAG nomination for her haunting role in We Need to Talk About Kevin, but she was denied an Oscar nod. On the TV side, Kate Winslet is nominated for her Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning performance in Mildred Pierce. The ceremony is scheduled for Sunday (January 29).

Wow, Ringo sounds great! Thanks for posting. Macca’s boy leaves a bit to be desired, and that’s being generous.
