‘Luther’ Star Idris Elba Nominated for NAACP Image Award
Just days after winning the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Miniseries/TV Movie, Luther star Idris Elba may need to make room on his shelf for another trophy. Or just buy a bigger shelf. The British actor is nominated for a NAACP Image award for Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special, the same category he won last year.
This year, Elba is up against Esai Morales (We Have Your Husband), Oscar nominees Laurence Fishburne (Thurgood) and Samuel L. Jackson (The Sunset Limited), and Oscar winner Louis Gossett, Jr. (The Least Among You).
The in-demand Elba spoke with The Brit List’s Asha Leo on Saturday, the day before he walked off with his shiny new Golden Globe. Watch the interview, as he reveals the one thing he misses most when he’s away from England:
Offer your congrats to Idris below!
