Ricky Gervais‘s long-time collaborator Stephen Merchant is in New York this week with his first ever stand-up comedy tour, Stephen Merchant Live: Hello Ladies. Before his first performance at Manhattan’s Town Hall this week he sat down with me to talk about the major events of 2012, the U.S. presidential race…and whether or not he thinks Ricky Gervais will behave at next month’s Golden Globes.






Merchant will be heading to California, where he will be performing in Los Angeles Jan. 17-19 and in San Francisco on Jan. 24.
