‘Graham Norton’ Books Dream Guest: Madonna

Graham Norton has set the bar high for himself in 2012, with pop star-turned-filmmaker Madonna set to appear on BBC America’s The Graham Norton Show for the first time ever on Saturday, January 14 at 10/9c, the network has announced. The erstwhile Material Girl will be joined by Andrea Riseborough and James D’Arcy, the lead actors of her new Wallis Simpson movie W.E.

“I couldn’t be more excited,” Norton says. “This is my real Christmas present. I may have to retire, but that’s not a promise.”

This is a huge get, as Madonna isn’t exactly a frequent presence on the talk show circuit on either side of the pond. (She memorably did an interview with Jonathan Ross back in 2003 and a long sit-down with Michael Parkinson in 2006.) And good news for U.S. viewers: BBC America has also announced that, on December 10, The Graham Norton Show will begin airing less than 24 hours after the UK broadcast. No more week-long waits for your Graham fix!

If you were Graham Norton, what question would you ask Madonna?
