The Queen awards Bryan Ferry his CBE
The Queen has awarded Bryan Ferry, the singer with Roxy Music, his CBE today, in a brief ceremony at Buckingham Palace. The award is in recognition of his 40-year career as a singer and hitmaker.
Although frankly all he would have needed to have done is release this, his astonishing 1973 reworking of Bob Dylan’s “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall” to deserve all the honors in Her Majesty’s trophy cabinet:
