She rescued an old lady but parted with her bra in the process: Oscar winner Kate Winslet talks about that harrowing escape from Richard Branson‘s flame-engulfed Necker Island home on The Graham Norton Show, airing this Saturday (October 29) on BBC America.
Speaking about the early morning blaze, which took place during a tropical storm, she told Graham Norton “I jumped up and ran immediately towards the fire but then realized we might die … then thought ‘Now what do I do?’ so I ran into the bedroom and put on a bra!” Hey, when ferrying 90-year-old women out of burning buildings, you do need a bit of support. But Winslet soon realized that slipping on her undergarments wasn’t the best use of her time. More of that in this clip:
