So here we are: the final four women. Whose name will reign supreme alongside men’s champ Alan “Severus Snape” Rickman? Well, there’s a strong chance it will be one of his Harry Potter co-stars. Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, and Dame Maggie Smith all made it to the semis. The fourth semifinalist, JK Rowling, just so happened to write the books on which the films are based.

All of Doctor Who ladies were jettisoned in the quarterfinals, and in Alex Kingston‘s case, by the slimmest of margins. (Watson squeaked past her by 84 measly votes.) They faced tough competition: Helena and Dame Maggie are two of Britain’s most treasured actresses, Rowling is a billionaire philanthropist, and Emma is a fashion icon who can dominate a news cycle with a mere haircut. Any one of these four talents would make an honorable Woman of 2011. But there can only be one. Who should move on to next week’s finals? Vote once a day for your favorites.
