WATCH: Which Previous ‘Doctor Who’ Companion Inspires Karen Gillan?
Karen Gillan
Doctor Who‘s Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Steven Moffat have responded to questions submitted by BBC America’s Facebook fans. And we’re rolling out one video response a day until Saturday’s midseason premiere! Yesterday, we posted a clip of Matt paying tribute to the Doctor’s long-running TARDIS-mate Sarah Jane Smith, played by the late Elisabeth Sladen.
Well, which former companion most inspires Karen Gillan, who plays Amy Pond, the Eleventh Doctor’s current traveling partner? That’s the question posed by Facebook fan Paul Varga. Karen did not have to search too far back into Who history for her inspiration, as she gives a massive shout-out to Billie Piper‘s Rose Tyler in the clip below. Watch.
