WATCH: Rowan Atkinson’s ‘Johnny English Reborn’ Trailer

Rowan Atkinson as Johnny English

It’s been eight years since Rowan Atkinson first strutted across our screens as the hapless secret agent Johnny English, and in that time, a lot has changed. James Bond has become cooler and more real, Austin Powers is but a dim and distant memory, and the Bourne films, the first of which came out while Johnny English was still filming, changed the way we look at international espionage in the movies.

Thankfully, this sequel – which also stars Gillian Anderson, Dominic West, Rosamund Pike and Daniel Kaluuya – proves that it’s not always necessary to change a spoof, just because the thing it is spoofing no longer exists.
