WATCH: Clive Owen Fights Jason Statham In ‘Killer Elite’

Killer Elite

You remember we showed you the trailer for the super-Brit-enabled remake of the TV adaptation of John Le Carre’s book Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy the other day? Well if you took that thing, and then asked, I dunno, Michael Bay to direct it. And all of the cast walked out, and he brought in Jason Statham and Clive Owen in, and instead of the classic Brit-In-Hollywood arguing and sneering, he made them fight like proper tough guys, and Robert De Niro wanted to come along because he gets bored of doing comedy all the time these days, and your director took a lot of the tense doominess (and labyrinthine plot) out, and replaced it with explosions and a stunt involving a man tied to a chair…

…it’d be a bit like this:

OK, so it’s nothing like Tinker Tailor, but still. Not bad, eh?
