While the rest of the world was distracted by Simon & Cheryl, William & Katie, Beyoncé at Glastonbury, and the final Harry Potter film; two of Britain’s most loved actors have quietly snuck off and got secretly married.

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz tied the knot in a secret ceremony in New York, which may or may not have taken place over the weekend. They’d been dating for since just before Christmas, and ironically also play a married couple in their new film Dream House.

Daniel’s publicist has confirmed to BBC News that the wedding did take place, but would not be drawn on any details. The spoilsport.
