WATCH: Arctic Monkeys Channel Black Sabbath on ‘Letterman’
Arctic Monkeys
The audience may have snickered when David Letterman read the title of their new release, Suck It and See — “I’m being told it’s their Christmas album,” he quipped — but Arctic Monkeys put to rest any juvenile jokes when they thundered through a punishing version of their latest single, “Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair” on last night’s Late Show. Warning to Monkeys fans: this isn’t a peppy rave like “I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor” or “Fluorescent Adolescent.” It’s a heavy metal grind worthy of Black Sabbath. We’re scared and very, very turned on. (Thanks to The Audio Perv for sharing.)
