Sir Paul McCartney to Marry Girlfriend Nancy Shevell
Nancy Shevell and Paul McCartney
For the last four years, Paul McCartney has been singing “Silly Love Songs” to his girlfriend Nancy Shevell. And according to People, that will become a permanent thing as the famous Beatle and the millionaire New York businesswoman have gotten engaged.
No details on how McCartney proposed or when the couple will tie the knot have been revealed, but an insider has confirmed the news: “Nancy and Paul are getting married. Ring and all – very exciting. They have the right chemistry. They’re both cool, chilled out and optimistic.”
This will be Sir Paul’s third trip down the aisle. He and the former Linda Eastman wed in 1969 and were together for nearly 30 years until her death from breast cancer in 1998. Macca’s 2002 marriage to Heather Mills ended in a bitter divorce in 2008. Shevell was previously married to Port Authority Commissioner Bruce Blakeman.
Congratulations to Macca and Nancy!
