WATCH: ‘The Woman in Black’ Teaser, Starring Daniel Radcliffe
Daniel Radcliffe in 'The Woman in Black'
There there, dear Harry Potter fans. I know, July 15 is going to be somewhat bittersweet when part two of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows opens in theaters worldwide. And even though it’s the end of the beloved film series, Daniel Radcliffe‘s days with the supernatural kind is far from over.
In James Watkins‘ (Eden Lake, Gone) forthcoming 2012 thriller, The Woman in Black, Radcliffe portrays a young lawyer named Arthur Kipps, who tries to fend off a mysterious female spirit upon moving to a rural English town to wrap up a previous case. It’s being hailed “the most chilling ghost story of our time.” Oooh!
The script is based British author Susan Hill‘s 1983 horror novel of the same name and was penned by X-Men: First Class writer and Jonathan Ross‘s leading lady, Jane Goldman. Radcliffe’s Deathly Hallows castmate Ciarán Hinds and Tony-nominated actress and fellow Brit Janet McTeer also star. (Thanks to The Metro for the heads up!)
