Things seem pretty calm in Pete Doherty‘s world these days. The Babyshambles frontman just celebrated his 32nd birthday last month and the budding jeweler/actor is still hard at work on Confession of a Child of the Century, the forthcoming Sylvie Verheyde-directed drama where he plays dramatist Alfred de Musset opposite Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lily Cole. (Bleeding Cool has a behind-the-scenes look at the set, if you’re interested.
Um, and nevermind Doherty’s recent run-in with German police regarding a missing guitar and some records. He denies it.
Anyways, Doherty’s future is film seems to be moving along nicely, albeit gradually. NME reveals that Doherty has a cameo in The Wrong Ferarri, a 70-minute film created by indie rock songster Adam Green of Moldy Peaches fame. This “screwball tragedy” showcases Green and his bandmates “transported into a Super Mario game in an avant garde fantasy.” Somehow, “ketamine” is factored in. Um, this sounds positively keeerrraaazzzy. Macaulay Culkin (what?!), Lightspeed Champion‘s Dev Hynes, and Irish music personality BP Fallon also appear, among others.
