Noel Gallagher to Wed Longtime Girlfriend This Summer

Do you hear those rock ‘n’ roll wedding bells? Right now, they’re chiming loudly for ex-Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher.

The Sun reports that the 43-year-old English rocker recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend Sara MacDonald, a Scottish publicist whom he met in Ibiza in 2000. He reportedly gave his lady love a diamond stunner created by British jewelry designer Solange Azagury-Partridge.

“Noel secretly asked Sara to marry him on her birthday last October,” said an insider. “He’s not one for making a big scene. This is the man who kept his leather jacket on when his lad Donovan was born.”

A source added: “They have been living like they are married for years anyway, but now they have a family together Noel thought it was the right time to do the romantic thing.”

Gallagher and MacDonald, who have two sons (three-year-old Donovan and baby Sonny) together, are eyeing a summertime wedding. Russell Brand and his missus Katy Perry are presumed to be on the guest list. But will Liam be invited? Noel and the Beady Eye frontman really haven’t talked since Noel left Oasis in 2009. And Liam remains thoroughly miffed at his older bro. Here’s hoping they’re able to patch things up before Noel’s walk down the aisle.
