Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley in 'Absolutely Fabulous'

Good news Absolutely Fabulous fans! It sounds like we might be enjoying the cocktail- and cigarette-fueled antics of Patsy and Edina once again.

Digital Spy reveals that Joanna Lumley, who played the bouffant-blonde diva Patsy Stone on the celebrated British comedy, recently told Hello! magazine that she’s set to return to the AbFab set later this summer.

“In late August I start filming on three episodes of Absolutely Fabulous, which we are all ecstatic about,” Lumley said.

Last November, the three-time BAFTA-winning actress said she was all for giving AbFab another go. Re-runs from all five seasons began airing on the Logo network last weekend.

As for her AbFab better half, Jennifer Saunders, Lumley went on to say that she’s currently in the thick of writing her Spice Girls musical. With that and her recent Comic Relief appearance in the brilliant and hysterical Uptown Downstairs Abbey sketch, life has been quite busy for her comedic pal. “I don’t think she’s started [the script]!” Lumley said.
