‘Doctor Who’ Cast Coming to U.S. Ahead of Season Premiere
The 'Doctor Who' cast
Brace yourselves, stateside Whovians: BBC America has just announced that cast and crew from Doctor Who will arrive in New York this week to promote the upcoming season premiering April 23. Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill will kick off the press tour with a signing at the Fifth Avenue Barnes & Noble store in Manhattan on Friday, April 8.
And on Monday, April 11 at 7 pm EST, BBC America is holding a free U.S. premiere screening of the two-part season opener at the Village East Cinema in Manhattan. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Smith, Gillan, Arthur Darvill, Alex Kingston, AND showrunner Steven Moffat. Nerdist‘s Chris Hardwick will moderate, and the Q&A will be recorded live for a special Nerdist podcast.
Note: the screening is first-come, first-served, and an RSVP does not guarantee admission. Turnout to the Season 5 premiere screening at Village East Cinema wrapped around a city block last year, and while there will be additional seating this year, you might want to show up a bit earlier than 6:59 pm. Just a word to the wise.
