Russell Brand Gets Personal on ‘CBS Sunday Morning’
Lately, it seems like there’s no escaping Russell Brand. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course — we loved his recent stints on SNL and The View. And next month, the 35-year-old British comedian will be everywhere on the silver screen when he appears in Hop and the 1981 remake of Arthur.
Yesterday (March 27), CBS Sunday Morning profiled our fave funnyman, where he confessed his love of working in America and divulged more about his previous addictions with drugs and alcohol.
Dame Helen Mirren also raved about her Arthur and Tempest co-star, which she’s done on more than one occasion. Arthur director Jason Winer chimed in as well, adding: “He’s so much more articulate, he’s so much more grounded and thoughtful. And not to be cheesy about it, but frankly spiritual than people know. He’s been through a lot and he’s got a great perspective on it.”
