It seems that Hermione Granger is human after all. Earlier today (March 7), the lovely Emma Watson revealed via her official website that she’s taking a brief break from her studies at Brown University.
The 20-year-old Harry Potter actress, who’s been working on a liberal arts degree at the Providence, Rhode Island-based school since 2009, must shift her focus to film for the time being.
“As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I’ve had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible,” Watson stated. “I’ve decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter (the last one comes out this summer) and to focus on my other professional and acting projects. I will still be working towards my degree… it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought.”
The second and final part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows premieres worldwide on July 15. Watson will also play opposite Dame Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper and Eddie Redmayne in the forthcoming British drama, My Week with Marilyn.Read More
