UPDATED: ‘King’s Speech’ Chat Gets New Air Date (Again) On ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’
Colin Firth on 'Piers Morgan Tonight'
Piers Morgan Tonight‘s pre-taped interview with the cast of The King’s Speech was originally scheduled to air on January 28 and February 3. And now that things have somewhat settled down in Egypt, Piers Morgan announced via Twitter earlier today that his chat with Colin Firth & Co. will finally be shown on Thursday (February 17). Here’s hoping that third time’s a charm.
What an incredible time it is for the Tom Hooper-directed drama. Having just swept the BAFTAs on Sunday (February 13) as well as the the Screen Actors Guild awards late last month, the film is is favored to reign over the 83rd Academy Awards on February 27. And let us not forget about Firth’s Golden Globe win for his remarkable portrayal of a stammering King George VI.
Firth and his fellow castmates Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush sat down with Morgan to discuss the success of the film, the royal family, and more. In case you missed it the two previous times, here’s a sneak peek:
