WATCH: BBC America Offers Congrats to Henry Cavill, New Superman
Henry Cavill from 'The Tudors'
In a new promo, BBC America offers its congratulations to Tudors star Henry Cavill on his new role as Superman. “Whether as a royal playboy or Man of Steel, no one fills out a pair of tights like you do,” the cheeky voiceover says. Anyone who has watched this spicy lad on The Tudors, currently airing on BBC America, will agree: ya got that right, sista.
Cavill is now of one three Brits, alongside Batman‘s Christian Bale and Spider-Man‘s Andrew Garfield, playing America’s most popular superheroes. With Piers Morgan on CNN, a slew of U.S. adaptations of British shows, and The King’s Speech marching to Oscar victory, is a new British Invasion going on?
