Wedding bells are in the air! Opera singer Katherine Jenkins is set to tie the knot with her longtime beau, television personality Gethin Jones, BBC News reports.
Jenkins — who earned her biggest acting gig yet with the role of Abigail Pettigrew in the 2010 Doctor Who Christmas special, “A Christmas Carol,” — was vacationing in Mexico with Jones when he proposed.
The Welsh natives got together after appearing on Strictly Come Dancing (its U.S. counterpart is ABC’s Dancing with the Stars) four years ago. Jones was a contestant, while Jenkins performed on the show. They’re expected to walk down the aisle sometime in 2012.
Over the weekend, Jenkins shared the happy news via her official website and later took to Twitter thank her fans for their support.
