It was the meeting of a UK pop princess and one of Britain’s esteemed royals. MTV UK reports that Cheryl Cole joined Prince Charles at Clarence House on Tuesday (February 22) to discuss the entertainer’s forthcoming charity efforts.
Launching in April, the Cheryl Cole Foundation, in coordination with The Prince’s Trust, will assist teens in and around the X Factor judge’s hometown of Newcastle. Cole’s ultimate goal is to help kids who have had issues with the law, at school or on the job.
“Too many young people grow up thinking no one cares and don’t believe they can make anything of themselves,” she said. “They have so much potential – but can go off the rails without the right care and support. I want my foundation to help them realize their potential and get their lives on track.”
Cole added: “I have always been a great admirer of the work of the Prince’s Trust with disadvantaged young people across the UK. It’s the perfect charity for my foundation to support.”Read More
