Carey Mulligan Dating British Tony Winner Eddie Redmayne?

Carey Mulligan‘s split from Shia LaBeouf was listed among our Top 5 British Celebrity Breakups of 2010. But has the Oscar-nominated Doctor Who alum moved on? A platinum-blonde Mulligan has been snapped walking the New York streets arm-in-arm with British actor Eddie Redmayne, star of the recent miniseries The Pillars of the Earth. The Daily Mail is reporting that the two lovely stars are indeed dating, although no one is confirming.

Would Eddie be a step-up from Shia? Mr. Redmayne certainly has more hardware on his shelves: the 29-year-old theater vet won a featured actor Tony last year for his Broadway role opposite Alfred Molina in Red.

And like Ms. Mulligan, who played Sally Sparrow on Doctor Who, Redmayne has a TARDIS connection: he’s good mates with the sci-fi series’ star, Matt Smith.
