British funnyman Ricky Gervais visited Piers Morgan Tonight on Thursday (January 20) to candidly discuss all the hoopla surrounding his “mean-spirited” Golden Globes hosting gig. “I’m not going to apologize for being myself,” he confidently maintained, adding that he “didn’t do anything wrong” in roasting some of Hollywood’s finest. “They hired me for a job,” Gervais said. “And if they didn’t want me, they shouldn’t have hired me.”
Gervais also divulged a bit about reprising his role of David Brent from the original British Office for an upcoming episode of the U.S. version on NBC. We cannot wait for January 27!
