‘Torchwood’ Cast Finally Heads Back to Work
Eve Myles, John Barrowman
Woo hoo! Digital Spy reveals that filming for Torchwood: Miracle Day is currently underway. At long last!
On Monday (January 10), the BBC’s production office teased about Torchwood‘s recent happenings via their official Twitter page. And yes, executive producer/show creator Russell T. Davies and his production partner Julie Gardner were also on hand, toiling away on episodes two and three.
“Day 1, smooth sailing, we’re so lucky to have such a great crew.”
It was back to business on Tuesday (January 11) as one of the show’s biggest stars arrived on set, with Twitter announcing: “The moment we’ve all been waiting for… John Barrowman is en route”. Yay!
As previously seen on BBC America, Torchwood will see actors John Barrowman and Eve Myles reprise their roles as Captain Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper on Starz sometime this summer.
And as we’ve informed you already, several big name actors will be coming to Torchwood this year. Mekhi Phifer will play CIA agent Rex Matheson, while Digital Spy reports that former All My Chidren star Alexa Havins and Dollhouse alumna Dichen Lachman will join his squad. Bill Pullman will also be on hand to portray convict Oswald Jones. Arlene Tur has been cast as surgeon Vera Juarez.
