The Doctor and his companion Amy Pond are now teeny tiny (um, how cute are these?) thanks to British toy company Character Options, who are behind the celebrated 5-inch figures. The new lot is set to be unveiled at the London Toy Fair next week.
Current Time Lord Matt Smith is super geeked for the toy set, too. He told the Evening Standard, “It was very surreal and funny coming face to face with a miniature version of myself as the Doctor – but I’m glad that the Doctor’s trusty Sonic Screwdriver is in his hand, ready to fend off attacks from monsters.”
Smith’s co-star Karen Gillan, who plays Amy Pond, is equally thrilled. She added, “I’m loving Pond’s flaming ginger mane and it’s funny to think that the Doctor and Amy are small enough to travel around in someone’s pocket.”
Me thinks Whovians might totally enjoy that factor.
