‘Top Gear’ Gets the Spotlight on ’60 Minutes’
In case you missed it, CBS' 60 Minutes highlighted the phenomenon that is BBC America's Top Gear on Sunday night (October 24). Show correspondent Steve Kroft sat down with hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, as well as exec producer Andy Wilman, for an in-depth look at this widely popular British car series.
"It's a journey into the male mind, which I believe is a really potentially very funny place because, let's face it, nothing happens there," says Wilman of the show's daredevil appeal. Other memorable moments of the broadcast include May's mind-blowing admission that the fastest he's ever driven a car is 259.2 mph. D'oh!
