NYCC Fashion: Which Are Cooler – Bowties or Fezzes?
You may have seen the flurry of photos I posted to Twitter from this past weekend’s New York Comic-Con. People really wore their sci-fi finest, and loads of Doctor Who fans came out to show their love. Dare I say that New York was giving San Diego a run for its money?
The selection of Doctors wasn’t quite as comprehensive as in SDCC – see my Doctor Who family portrait from back in July – but the overall Timelord turnout was impressive nonetheless. It also became very clear that Matt Smith is one of the rare Doctors who has spawned two iconic looks. There’s his standard tweed jacket and bowtie ensemble, the one that has sparked a worldwide fashion craze. See below (damn this guy looks like Matt):
And you also have the Doctor’s ever-so-whimsical fez, which he sported in the season finale. (You mustn’t forget the mop, elegantly slung over the shoulder.)
Which Eleventh Doctor look is your favorite?
