Gossip surrounding Mel Gibson’s supposed appearance in the forthcoming Hangover sequel has been non-stop this week, amidst nasty rumors that the controversial actor and director wasn't well liked among the cast.
Well the truth is out: Liam Neeson will be joining the absurd comedy flick after receiving an invite by his former A-Team co-star Bradley Cooper. Talk about a bromance.
"I just got a call to do a one-day shoot on Hangover 2 as a tattooist in Thailand, and that's all I know about it," Neeson tells Daily Variety (via People). "I just laughed my leg off when I saw The Hangover, I was shooting in Berlin earlier this year and rented it on the hotel TV."
The box office smash, also starring Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms, earned over an estimated $277 million by the end of 2009.
In other Neeson news, the tantalizing trailer for 2011’s Unknown has been released. In the Jaume Collet-Serra-directed thriller, the 58-year old Irish actor is cast as Dr. Martin Harris, who finds his identity and life ripped out from under him following a coma onset by a car accident. January Jones, Diane Kruger, and Aidan Quinn also star.
