Sir Winston Churchill Goes Digital From Beyond the Grave

Sir Winston Churchill may have died 45 years ago, but, starting today, he will be competing with the likes of Ashton Kutcher and Stephen Fry for Twitter supremacy. The Daily Telegraph informs us that Churchill’s estate has set up a Twitter account for the former British Prime Minister, and they’ve launched their own iPhone app, which will help bring Churchill’s “‘wit and wisdom’ to a wider audience.” Sir Winston’s supposedly coming to Facebook as well.

Check out some screenshots of the Churchill iPhone app, which contains “a collection of quotations from [his] speeches, writings, thoughts, and sayings.” Download the app here.

Churchill is hot these days. Even Doctor Who did an episode celebrating him this season. Watch a clip below:

His Anglophilia stems from a high school love of Morrissey, whom he calls his "gateway drug" into British culture.
