Roundup: Kate Beckinsale Set for ‘Underworld’ Return

It looks like Kate Beckinsale just couldn't stay away from a world surrounded by vampires and werewolves, for the sultry Brit has signed on to portray vampire Selene in the fourth installment of the Underworld film series. Production is slated to begin in March 2011 in Vancouver. (The Hollywood Reporter)

In other news: Comedian Ricky Gervais funny and honorable. He's joined the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV) to rally against the unfair treatment of baby monkeys, slamming any kind of laboratory research against the primates as "shameful" and "disgusting." He says, "Imprisoning monkeys and snatching their babies is a disgusting way to treat other primates. Monkeys are highly intelligent beings who feel pain and distress, just like us… Please support the BUAV to end this shameful cruelty. We must Stop the Baby Trade." (OK!)

Amy Winehouse, who was just chastizing her producer-buddy Mark Ronson via Twitter this week, apparently has a new roommate and it's Pete Doherty! Um, this sounds like a terrible idea.
