Lady Gaga to Buy a British Castle?

Oh no, please don't go Lady Gaga! The world's biggest pop star reportedly wants to escape humdrum America for a quaint countryside castle. It's said that the singer is possibly scouting locations in northern England and Scotland.

According to Digital Spy, a source told the New Jersey newspaper, the Daily Record that that the New York-born and bred Gaga has dreamed of having her very own castle since she was a child. "No expense will be spared in her quest to make this dream come true," a friend revealed.

The UK property market is currently at a stand still and is expected to dip an additional third percent before the year's end, which could be very good for Gaga when purchasing such a grand home base.

"The average time a property is on the market is eight months. That tells us much of the property is overpriced," explains real estate agent Matthew Sinclair. "The country house market seems completely static. Some prices being asked are what they would have sold for at the peak of the market."

Decked in her controversial meat dress, Lady Gaga took away eight MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month. In November, Gaga and "California Gurls" diva Katy Perry will face off at the 17th Annual MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid, Spain, where the two are both up for five nominations. The European leg of her monumental Monster Ball tour starts October 13 in Helsinski, Finland.
