J.K. Rowling Set to Appear On ‘Oprah’
Set your DVRs Harry Potter enthusiasts! Author J.K. Rowling will be chatting with Oprah on Friday (Oct. 1) on ABC. The famed talk-show host, who's widely-celebrated Oprah Winfrey Show is in its 25th and final season, says via the official site that "it's one of the most fascinating interviews she's ever done."
On location at the luxury Balmoral Hotel in Rowling's native Edinburgh, Scotland, the reserved billionaire Mom is said to open up about her bouts with depression, past relationships, and how the Harry Potter phenomenon has changed her life. The rare television appearance comes just ahead of the film release for part one of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (click here for more photos), which hits theaters worldwide on November 19.
The 45-year-old former teacher has also in recent years revealed to the press that she had suicidal thoughts after the breakup of her first marriage to Portuguese journalist Jorge Arantes.
