Inception’ Director Christopher Nolan ‘Most Powerful’ Brit in Film

Today, The Guardian released its “Film Power 100″ list of industry insiders who “shape the exper­ience of film viewing in the UK.” American filmmakers James Cameron and Steven Spielberg are No. 1 and No. 2, which I don’t think most sane people would argue with. Inception star Leonardo DiCaprio comes in third. Hollywood “It” boy Christopher Nolan, who directed Leonardo in Inception, is the highest-ranked Brit, coming in at No. 6.

British actors who made the cut include Sacha Baron Cohen (No. 26), Kate Winslet (No. 29), Keira Knightley (No. 38), Colin Firth (No. 52), Tilda Swinton (No. 66), and Kristin Scott Thomas (No. 74). Nope, Robert Pattinson did not make the list, nor did any of the young Harry Potter actors.

Meanwhile, Christopher Nolan is co-producing a Superman reboot, and David Bowie‘s son Duncan Jones is one of his top candidates to direct the film. Maybe Duncan could convince his father to make an appearance as an “Accent of Evil” baddie? (Deadline)
