Doctor Who: Want To See The Doctor Tickling the Ivories?

We’ve seen Doctor Who star Matt Smith bend it like Beckham, showing off his footballer skills in “The Lodger”, but would you want to see the actor jam like Billy Joel on the piano? Smith tells The Daily Telegraph: “I always wanted a piano in the TARDIS, but that’s yet to materialize, sadly,” he said. “I’m by no means a dab hand but I can tinker a little bit.” But he adds: “I guess once the TARDIS lands, you want the adventure to get started – you don’t want to see the Doctor playing the piano.”

I think it would be a hoot to see the Doctor donning pink glitter glasses and rocking out to “Rocket Man” like Elton John, with Amy rolling her eyes in exasperation. (Or better yet they could fashion their own Elton/Kiki Dee duet.) What do you think?

UPDATED: Smith also says writer Steven Moffat has done his best Doctor Who work in the next series: “I think he’s delivered his best script yet. I can’t say anything about it, but it’s bloody brilliant.”
